Sobre Knavigate
For longer outings, support starts mattering fast. The Knavigate combines an internal frame and padded hip belt with K9 Sport Sack’s upright carrier design, giving dogs up to 50 pounds and their humans a more structured setup for hikes, travel, and full-day adventures.
The internal frame helps give the pack structure, while the padded hip belt transfers part of the carried load toward the wearer’s hips. Durable construction and back-length sizing from 9 to 25 inches make the Knavigate the more supportive choice in the K9 Sport Sack lineup for dogs and people spending more time on the move.
The 50-pound limit is a maximum, not a sizing shortcut. Your dog’s back length, body proportions, posture, and your own ability to carry the combined load safely all matter.

Maximum Dog Weight
- Up to 50 pounds according to K9 Sport Sack
How to Measure:
- Have your dog stand naturally on a level surface
- Measure along the back from the collar area at the base of the neck to the base of the tail
- Select size using actual back length rather than dog weight or breed alone
- Make sure your dog also remains within the 50-pound maximum
How to Use:
- Introduce the Knavigate gradually before attempting a long outing
- Load and unload your dog on a stable surface
- Secure all dog-support points before putting on the pack
- Adjust shoulder straps and the padded hip belt so the load sits close and stable
- Check your dog’s breathing, posture, and comfort before moving
Fit Notes:
- Your dog should remain supported without excessive compression, sagging, or forced stretching
- The wearer should be able to stand, walk, turn, and maintain balance comfortably with the full load
- Recheck strap tension after several minutes of movement as the pack settles
- Reassess fit whenever your dog’s weight, coat, or proportions change
Activity Notes:
- The structured frame and hip belt make Knavigate well suited to controlled hikes, longer walks, and travel
- Avoid running, cycling, skating, climbing, jumping, or other high-impact activities where a fall could place your dog at elevated risk
- Take regular breaks during extended outings and monitor both dog and wearer for fatigue or overheating
