The K9 Sport Sack Urban 3 is a convertible city backpack that works as an everyday foldover pack for your gear, then transforms into an upright dog carrier when your companion needs a ride. In backpack mode, a padded laptop sleeve helps organize tech and daily essentials. In dog-carrier mode, the pack is designed for small to medium dogs, with a waist support strap that adds stability for walking, public transit, and other moderate outings.
Available in sizes X-Small through Large, fit is based primarily on your dog’s back length from the collar area to the base of the tail. Measure first, because backpack sizing is one area where optimism is not a measurement system.

How to Measure:
- Have your dog stand naturally on a level surface
- Measure along the back from the collar area at the base of the neck to the base of the tail
- Use the actual measurement rather than choosing by breed name alone
- If your dog falls between sizes or has unusual proportions, compare the fit carefully before use
How to Use:
- Use the Urban 3 in standard backpack mode for your laptop and everyday gear
- Convert the pack fully into dog-carrier mode before loading your pet
- Load and unload your dog on a stable surface
- Adjust the shoulder and waist straps so the carrier sits securely against your body
- Check your dog’s position before moving and make sure breathing and movement are not restricted
- Introduce the carrier gradually at home before using it for longer outings
Fit Notes:
- Your dog should sit securely without excessive compression, sagging, or awkward stretching
- Recheck fit whenever your dog’s weight, coat, or body proportions change
- A K9 Sport Sack Booster Block, sold separately, may help fine-tune height for some dogs who sit too low in an otherwise appropriate carrier
- A booster should not be used to compensate for a carrier that is substantially the wrong size
Activity Notes:
- The waist support strap is intended to add stability for walking and other moderate activities
- Avoid running, cycling, climbing, jumping, or other high-impact activities where a fall could place your dog at risk
- Give your dog regular breaks during longer outings and monitor comfort, temperature, and stress
