The 50-pound limit is a maximum, not a sizing shortcut. Your dog’s back length, body proportions, posture, and your own ability to carry the combined load safely all matter.

How to Measure:
- Have your dog stand naturally on a level surface
- Measure along the back from the collar area at the base of the neck to the base of the tail
- Select size using actual back length rather than dog weight or breed alone
- Make sure your dog also remains within the 50-pound maximum
